In Memory

Michele Sincevich (Reese)

Michele Laura (Sincevich) Reese was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother during her six incredible decades on this earth. Born to Michael and Marilyn Sincevich in Pittsburg, PA, on August 13, 1962, she was the sixth of eight children and largely lived in Frederick, MD during her childhood, surrounded by a vast (and ever-growing) circle of family and friends. Shell married her high school sweetheart, Russell Reese, in 1987, and together she and Russ raised four children, Emily, Jackie, Jacob, and Kevin. The family moved to Hagerstown, MD in 2002, and after their children grew up and began lives of their own, Russ and Shell continued to enjoy and improve their family home. In recent years, Shell was blessed with five grandchildren: Liam, Reese, Olivia, Elwood and Carter, and cherished being a grandmother. She wore many other hats during her life – a sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, friend, adventurer, thespian, singer, sculptor, witchy-poo, crossword wizard, old-movie aficionado, and a lover of a quiet evening enjoying her porch and the fresh air with a good scotch in her hand and the people she loved around her.

Shell’s journey ended far too soon on April 17, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Doey’s House, Hospice of Washington County or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A celebration of Shell’s life will be held at the family home @ 20652 Beaver Creek Rd this upcoming Saturday evening starting at 5PM. Auxiliary parking will be available at a lot right down the road thanks to the kind people at the Cornerstone Community Church @ 20519 Beaver Creek Rd – we ask that anyone planning to attend check at the house first for parking and we’ll have family members helping to direct and shuttle attendees. We’ll have pizza and wings, as well as a few of Shell’s staple drinks, but please bring a bit of your own favorite beverage, side or dessert along to share too! Thank you all so much for your love and support through this difficult time, we can’t wait to see you, swap stories and honor this amazing woman together – see you soon.
