Veronica Buckley

Miss Veronica Patricia "Lonnie" Buckley, 46, of Frederick, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.

Born Aug. 14, 1962, in Zama, Japan, she was a daughter of the late Denis Patrick and Toshiko Matsuura Buckley.

Miss Buckley had been employed with Amour Flower Shop in Frederick. She was a local artist who enjoyed painting, sculpting and gardening. She was loving to all humans and all animals.

Surviving is a sister, Denise T. Buckley of Frederick, and two cousins in Japan. She will be missed by many friends in Frederick.

There will be no calling or visiting at the funeral home.

Funeral services and inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Miss Buckley to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.

Susan Brenton (Nalley)

Lonnie and I took Art Classes together.  She was so very talented.  I remember I had trouble with a project and she stepped up and helped me with it.  I'll never forget.  Her sister Denise and I took Drama together.
